In India CBSE board is considered relevant according to the signs of the times education system because it focuses to impart a common education in this land of diverse culture and heritage across India. Thus, it has created a common standard of education for all across the country. CBSE education keeps updating with time. This board has successfully matched the needs and changing trends in the world of education. At present there are more than 16000 schools affiliated with the board and the figure includes around 197 schools spread in 24 countries with more than 20 million students.

The CBSE Board has introduced continuous and comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) in school based on system of assessment that takes into account all aspects of learner’s development. The continuous assessment is a basic tenet of four formative assessments is done through activities and short tests, andtwo summative assessments are done at the end of each term.
